donwill: “i give it a year or two before fans get tattoo’s” - Von Pea just got a really cool tweet from @flowermybrain of a really cool tattoo that they got of a song lyric that i wrote. If you have never heard the song ‘love life’ take some time to click that link and listen then come back… The song originally appears on the Aight New Drink project i did with Rob Viktum and l’m pretty sure i wrote this song in the process of cheering myself up one day and trying to remember the good parts of life because the bad just seemed so bad. it ended up being one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written but its definitely one of those joints that nobody really has ever acknowledged which is what makes this tat even crazier.  i feel like i just won an award or some shit for real lol. like i don’t really talk about my relationship to making music that much because, well… i just don’t but a lot of these songs are simply me in my room being weird or trying to make sense of my own shit but long story short i’ve quit a few times (well not really but yeah), gone on hiatus a few more (im currently coming out of one now) and just generally live in a really strange head space musically. so aside from being really cool this is pretty humbling. its so insane to think that my words can mean so much to somebody. thanks for not only making my day but reminding me of my purpose. i won’t forget again (or anytime soon at least, lol)
